 James, please help test this. it seems to be working OK for me on my B2
 running os36.

 Simply play a sound and plug headphones in and out, repeatedly, power
 cycling every few minutes.

 And then recording: plug headphones in, run {{{ arecord -f cd -c 2 | aplay
 }}} and plug a microphone in and out, checking that the recording source
 is as you'd expect



 on the earlier development boards we had problems where the system could
 enter a confused state as to whether it should be playing sound through
 internal speakers or the headphone port (and similarly whether it should
 record through internal or external mic)
