Comment:

 I can only reproduce with if I keep the console alive during
 suspend/resume via {{{while true; do echo mem > /sys/power/state;done}}}.
 If I manually suspend/resume (meaning just the {{{echo >...}}}, the
 console shell is restarted as per #9420 and I don't see this issue, so
 looking at currently working on figuring out why the shell  is dieing as
 these two problems are likely related.
