Comment:

 That problem is gone. The one that dracut builds with those modules (minus
 redhat-i18n, which we don't need) is 2.5mb.

 It could shrink more, right now it unconditionally includes some kernel
 modules but if we continue to build kernels with all required modules
 builtin then that's not necessary, also hopefully the dracut developers
 will accept my reasoning to make kernel modules optional.

 I modified olpc-2.6 specfile to build an initramfs using dracut, which
 seems to be working.

 #9328 is for boot animation and #9341 is for the security
 reimplementation.
