Comment(by pgf):

 the fix requires both a fix to the kernel cmdline ("reboot=acpi", in
 olpc.fth) and to acpi.fth, in the OFW tree (to cause acpi to write the
 correct value to the correct i/o register).

 the default linux reboot method is to tell the keyboard controller to
 reset us (command 0xfe to port 0x64).  but the EC doesn't do that for us,
 and i couldn't make it work the other day.  when or if we get the EC path
 to work, we can drop the new parameter.
