 I am currently applying a bypass to my XOs -- I manually edit
 /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules so that my ethernet adapter is
 assigned to 'eth1', and my radio adapter is assigned to 'eth0'.

 With that bypass applied to recnt joyrides, nm-tool is correctly reporting
 state: "connected" for the ethernet connection.
