When I boot, Joyride 2614 auto-mounts several "external" storage devices
that are plugged into my XO. Space for icons representing these devices
is reserved in the bottom edge of Frame, but the icons themselves (for
these devices) are not getting drawn. To unmount one of these devices, I
need to hover the cursor long enough over one of these spaces for the
palette for that storage device to be shown - then I can navigate to the
'Unmount' entry in that palette, and click on it.

[When the cursor happens to move through the space where the external
device icon should be, often the corresponding palette "flickers" into
existence too briefly to be read, then vanishes.]

 ----

The cursor did not show up in the screen snapshot -- it is to the left of
the "Speaker" icon in the bottom edge of the Frame.

[Further left in the bottom edge of the Frame, those two gray circles
themselves do nothing whatsoever, except for displaying "not connected"
 when hovered over.]
