 Hmm -- could not reproduce.  I imported a pretty large, complex color .jpg
 photo, and asked to reduce the colour palette to two colours... worked
 perfectly.

 Could you perhaps attach a .jpg (or .morph, or whatever) which illustrates
 this problem?  Thanks.

 Or, if perchance the problem was seen only once, we might need to write
 this one off as irreproducible...
