 It would be very useful to have a concrete example of something that
 misbehaves because of the issue raised in this report.  I think that
 perhaps the morphic-layer mechanism was only ever intended to be used to
 govern layering of direct submorphs of the world -- do you know of any
 examples where it is used otherwise?
