Comment:

 Reproduced on os64, failing function is snd_pcm_hw_params, ran also within
 gdb, but the stack trace there didn't show anything particularly
 remarkable.

 The hardware parameters requested probably aren't available for the audio
 device we have, so the application should either use parameters that are
 available, or ask ALSA to resample (e.g. with plughw).
