Comment:

 Automatic power management was disabled.  The laptop was being woken up
 using the EC's autowack function, with a delay of 100 hex.   EC interrupts
 were enabled, using:
  echo EC > /proc/acpi/wakeups

 The controlling script is just a loop continuously echoing mem into
 /sys/power/state (attached.)
