 On logging in to GNOME in the zh_CN locale, an error about being unable to
 start the input method daemon pops up (it is harmless, but annoying).

 Steps to reproduce:

 1. Set LANG in ~/.i18n to zh_CN.UTF-8
 2. Log into GNOME
