 the record activity hung while saving recorded audio.  the symptom is
 reproducible.  the method to reproduce is:
  * start activity,
  * click on ''Audio'' tab,
  * record audio,
  * play it back twice,
  * click on ''Video'' and then ''Audio'' tabs to get back to being ready
 to record audio,
  * repeat from record audio above.

 the symptom occurs when the stop button is pressed while recording audio.

 the symptom does not always occur; it has occurred on the second and third
 pass for me on one unit, but not on another unit after 10 passes.

 once the symptom occurs, switching to the journal and back with alt-tab
 shows the activity is unresponsive to graphics expose events, although the
 camera image is repainted with an old image.
