 Kinda works.  Though it might not be what you intend.  What do you think?

 On os64, I set timer_rtcwake to zero, did not restart ohmd, left the unit
 idle and then watched what happens.  The visible events were:

  * screen dimmed, within a minute,
  * system suspended with screen image present, also within the minute,
  * system woke, turned off the screen and backlight, waited a few seconds,
 then turned it back on full brightness,
  * screen dimmed, within a minute,
  * system suspended with screen image present, etc.
