 > Mikus: those symptoms regarding USB are unrelated, thanks. I thought you
logged them in another ticket, didn't you? How many times did the system
 resume successfully?
 [[BR]]Enough times.

I myself am not so much concerned with "coming out of" suspend, than I am
with "going into" suspend. This time around, I changed the first two
values in /etc/ohm/plugins.d/timeouts.ini -- and the system now behaved
the way I am used to with 802 -- once I saw the screen dimming, I was able
to intervene (and avoid this impending suspend) by typing on my external
 keyboard.

I do not know why the difference between my earlier experience, and now.
The best that I can think of is that maybe there are three steps in the
"suspend process" -- 1) screen dims; 2) USB power is dropped: 3) CPU
stops. In my earlier attempts, steps (1) and (2) appeared to occur close
together, followed by (3). This time, with a larger timeout gap
specified, (2) appeared close together with (3). So I was wrong in
thinking USB power dropped when the screen dimmed.
