 I think this would cause at least a twenty-second hang in the kernel on
 resume, which would explain the symptom of "power light on, but screen
 stays dimmed and nothing happening is userspace/no input responded to".
 Do others agree?  I would have expected this hang to resolve itself after
 those twenty seconds, though.

 I still can't reproduce this on my B3.  :(
