 Thanks for the comparison.

 Replying to [comment:14 garycmartin]:

 times but no change. 2 presses of power button to switch off and try

 The interface redrawing and an image being on screen marks this as a
 different issue, though given that the two builds share a similar version
 of ohmd, I was hoping for some correlation.

 This ticket is for a post-resume condition characterised by:
  * power LED is on,
  * screen backlight is off,
  * screen image is not present,
  * no keyboard activity changes the condition,
  * no touchpad activity changes the condition.
