 I just ran a quick test by putting my XO-1 and 1.5-B3 side by side and
 running on each one:

         gst-launch v4l2src ! ffmpegcolorspace ! ximagesink

 The XO-1 picture looks significantly better in the low-light conditions in
 this room, and the XO-1.5 image has considerably more noise. The lowest
 row of pixels on the XO-1.5 is pink too.
