 as a followon -- we should at least think about whether it would maybe
 make more sense to leave keyboard wakeups enabled in the screen-blank-
 while-sleeping mode, in both cases:  whether the sleep was instantiated
 with power button or extended idle-suspend.  as long as we can reliably
 switch to the current mode when the lid closes, it might be okay.  and
 having the easy wakeup (from keyboard/touchpad) in the idle-suspend case
 might make it worth it.
