 cjb -- after it turns off the screen, what happens to the wakefulness
 state?  does it go back to sleep?  (i assume so.)  that leads to my real
 question:  when the screen is blanked and the laptop is in this "dark"
 extension of idle suspend, will a keystroke wake it up?  if so, i think
 there's a (minor) UI issue, since visually the laptop state is
 indistinguishable from having slept with the power button, and yet its
 response to a keystroke in the two cases is very different.
