 OK...I suppose it makes sense to have things play better together.  Is
 this the device 17, function 0, register 0x46 thing that Mitch mentioned
 to me a while back?

 One question, though: I assume that most deployed systems will be much
 more interested in a camera than a serial port.  So should I add a "hose
 the serial port" option, off by default, or should I add a "let the serial
 port win" option, off by default, instead?
