Comment(by reuben):

 It does not appear to S/R when Record is open. I can open Record directly
 after boot and it works. Close Record. Wait for S/R. Open Record and the
 camera does not work. Also, if I don't get to the XO after boot and it
 does a S/R before I open Record then it does not work.
