 To be more verbose:  -update is a new milestone to mean we aren't going to
 fix this in -final but may do later.  I don't think this is worth
 stressing over for -final, and if we aren't going to fix it by then, there
 doesn't seem to be much point in fixing it at all, since people will treat
 -final as an API.
