<mchua> oh - cjb, re #8724, external links *do* work
<mchua> they shouldn't, imo
<mchua> because you tend to follow the instructions
that you should follow in Browse, in Help instead
<cjb> hm, no, I mean, I wonder why the same instructions
don't work
<mchua> ?
<cjb> I don't understand why there's anything you can do
in Browse that you can't do in Help
<cjb> there :)
<cjb> but I was confused to start with, thanks, it's good
that it's only things like .xo downloads
* GeroldKa (n=GeroldKa at fedora/geroldka) has joined #OLPC
<mchua> ahh. well, help is browse that points to
static-on-your-XO files, with navigation tools (like the
ability to edit the URL) removed, I think - isforinsects ?
<mchua> cjb: downloads in general, plugins, the...
basically, my argument is that Help != a browser, and we
should cripple it more so it can't be used as such
* behdad has quit ("Leaving.")
<cjb> right, and I don't understand why Help != a browser
<cjb> doesn't it subclass Browse?
<marcopg> it should not subclass Browse
<mchua> it does, but it should only be for browsing local
help files
<marcopg> if we need it to be a browser we need to move
more functionality inside hulahop
}}}
isforinsects wants to just sed out external urls, leaving them as
plaintext. I am patching now.
