 Ricardo,
   The missing debug events, which is a good sign, most likely indicate
 that firmware is not playing any role in failed scan/association. When
 scan fails do you see command timeout?
 In the failed case Harumaki, is_network_compatible()failed and therefore
 association failed as well.
