 Thanks cscott, I've read page that already, I'm not sure what you're
 trying to push me too without more of a hint. All this is being done on a
 lonely XO B4 with vim/diff/patch from Terminal. Are you hinting that I
 need to work in jhbuild on a full Fedora desktop OS (I don't have
 equipment to do that, hence me using the XO), or do I have to pull the
 full sugar git source tree down to my XO somewhere to create a diff from
 it using git (my git fu is pretty beginner level)?
