The scan for updateable activities can take multiple minutes.
When using the GUI software update, if only some of the updatable
activities originally listed are left checkmarked by the user, the
software does the requested update, but then performs a second scan to
show the user the "now remaining" list of updatable activities.
When using the CLI, after the user's initial 'sugar-control-panel -g
available_updates', when the user then enters 'sugar-control-panel -s
install_update so_and_so_activity', the software performs a second scan
prior to doing the requested update.
In both instances, the software ought to remember the results of the first
scan as "current status", and omit its automatic "second" scan. If the
user believes that the availability of updatable activities has changed,
*he* should re-issue the original software update request, thereby forcing
a new "first" scan.
