 Replying to [comment:2 cscott]:
 > Tested in joyride-2451.  Confirmed that 'import pygame' in Pippy only
 takes ~2 seconds (down from 6).  Also confirmed that running 'import
 shutil' (for example) as root doesn't rewrite the shutil.pyc file,
 indicating that the existing file is being used.

 Tested both of these successfully on 763.
