Comment:

 For the record. I'm having the same problem, with DD-WRT instead of
 OpenWRT (same code base).
 What I can see in the sniffs (I have partial sniffs, I should configure
 everything to get better info). Is the same:

 OFW gets an IP assigned talking to 255.255.255.255, and then it continues
 (or restarts) talking to a more specific bcast addr (192.168.1.255 in my
 case).

 Apparently DD-WRT is not answering to that bcast address, OFW timeouts.

 I have just upgraded to q2e18, and I still have the same problem
