 Don't know if this is same problem as #7230.  Was running Joyride 2453
 ("primary"), wanted to upgrade it.  Booted 760 ("alternate"), saw that a
 number of Activities had mysteriously disappeared -- including Terminal.
 Wanted to run olpc-update anyway, so went to ctl-alt-F1 and entered olpc-
 update command.  It bombed with the notation that X11 initialization had
 failed.
