#8586: Journal view date filters do not correctly refresh list to show new entries

Joyride-2462. With the Journal set to a date filter entries by date (e.g.
Today, Since yesterday, etc), the view does not correctly update to show
new entry changes/additions. Example:
1. Make sure Journal is set to the default Anytime
1. Create several Activity entries (say with TurtleArt), call them in
order, "Lesson 1", "Lesson 2", "Lesson 3"
1. Quit TurtleArt
1. In Journal now activate the Today date filter. You should still see
"Lesson 3" at the top, then "Lesson 2", then "Lesson 1" (and maybe other
entries from today below that).
1. Now resume "Lesson 1" from the bottom.
"Lesson 1" should now be at the top of the Journal as it's now the most
recent - you'll note that it actually disappears. It seems the Today
filter is initially setting some 'top pointer' to the most recent entry,
but is failing to auto refresh this when it updates. Switching off the
date filter, and then back on again, correctly shows the entries.
I discovered this as I was trying to work on several Journal entries from
today, then noticed them vanish one by one as I worked! Glad to discover
it was not a case of data loss, just a broken filter behaviour. Note that
the Anything filter does not exhibit this issue (say you filter for
TurtleArt, it will correctly show you new TurtleArt activity entries as
they get created).
