 Hmm.  I, on the other hand, see no reason not to consider integer
 versioning to be a subset of the usual point convention, so that those who
 want to can release major and minor versions as needed.  Honestly, I don't
 see how we can reasonably expect to tell what activities work with what
 releases if every version has an integer version number.
