 In 8.2-760 my XO automatically connected with the school server (as it was
 registered with under 8.2-759) and the software update allows me to choose
 cancel, later or check now.

 A second XO i upgraded automatically connected with medialab (unsure if it
 was registered to a school server while in 8.2-759) and when I selected
 "later" for the software update, then loaded a few activities and played
 them before shutdown, when I rebooted the three options came up again.
 When I selected cancel, and after opening and playing a few activities
 again, upon reboot the options were no longer available. Had to go into
 control panel and select software update manually. [Upon reboot the XO
 automatically connected to school server (!)]

 Software update options confirmed working.
