 Hi Benzea, thanks for the revision. Just added it to an XO running
 joyride-2423, and see your reported jhbuild view time lag redraw also.
 It's perhaps 1-2sec when switching from Neighbourhood, to some Activity,
 and then to Home - especially if you have a fair amount of Activities set
 as Home favourites (I have about 40 icons). Neighbourhood and Groups have
 a 0.5-1sec or so flicker when changing from an old view, worse if you have
 a busy jabber server or lots of friends.

 Seeing as the ticket reports a redraw flicker, from a user perspective,
 the current patch is now moving the flicker else where in the switching
 chain, and arguably, is currently presenting a worse case as the redraw
 flicker is between 'last built in view' and 'view I just requested' rather
 than just what looked like a draw-blank-redraw of the same view.
