Comment:

 You dim the screen by changing the backlight value -- not by suspending.
 You blank the screen in the same way.  The B4 power bugs related to
 suspends (including switching DCON DRAM on), not to DCON backlight setting
 changes.

 Nits in B4's are not worth fixing these days, though, in my opinion.
