 I filed the bug after talking this over with cscott on IRC.

 I cannot easily reproduce it because I updated the Joyride Etoys version
 on the wiki. Will see if it works when/if there is another Etoys version.

 Don't know about a non-graphical updater (except for my script which is
 quite different).
