 Thanks for weighing in.

 I think this link explains some of what you need to know
 (http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Low-level_Activity_API), although the only
 thing I see "rainbow" related is http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Low-
 level_Activity_API#Users_and_Groups

 I also copied in Brian Jordan who may know a little more and be able to
 make a suggestion.
