Comment:

 mtd, could you review this one? The acme code doesn't really need a
 detailed review since it's unchanged from the gnome-settings-daemon
 implementation, it's enough to check that it does what we need.

 As you can see I removed the work around for #6934. The only we can check
 if it's still around with this implementation is to get it in joyride.
