 The Wireless LEDs are very much under software control.  Unfortunately the
 documentation for this feature was very well buried.  I remembered seeing
 it and found it via #2384 and this README for the Libertas firmware patch
 that implements the "iwpriv eth0 ledbhv" command:

 You can make either LED be on, off, or blinking when the firmware is in
 any of ten different states, as well as change the blink duty cycle -- all
 under software control.  In 8.2-759 software:

   # /sbin/iwpriv eth0 ledbhv 1

   eth0      ledbhv:1  1  2  4  1  2  1  0  1  3  2  4

 I still don't know what all those numbers mean, but the command is present
 and works!
