 A clarification:  sometimes the bug is latent, not becoming active until
 you have touched the brightness control keys. Then the bug shows quite
 often when you keep your hands off the XO.

 Revised |Test Case|

 Uncheckmark both power management options in XO Control Panel/Power. Dim
 the backlight to its lowest not-off setting. Leave the XO alone for about
 20 minutes, until the "screensaver" activates (the screen goes blank and
 the backlight switches off totally. The XO will now remember the dim
 setting. Next, restore the display by stroking the touchpad. Then
 ('''important''') press brightness down, then brightness up (it acts weird
 at this point). Now try using the XO normally, with the backlight set how
 you prefer it. If the bug is there, the backlight will go dim after about
 a minute of no user input, sometimes going dim the moment you press a key.
 To get back to normal intensity, you must press the "increase brightness"
 key. You will find this irritating!
