 First time I saw this I thought it was getting way too late, but it's
 pretty reproducible:

 1) Run Bounce and wait until the game starts
 2) Switch to vt 1 and run top
 3) Quickly - and I mean quickly - switch to vt 3 and then back to vt 1

 Best way to do 3) is get to vt1, hold down Alt, then press Left and Right
 in quick succession.

 You will see bounce and top together!  I think this is actually vt3,
 because I could exit bounce with Alt + Esc and then saw the X cursor slide
 over top's output.

 I had to repeat 3) a few times after I saw this to make sure I wasn't
 going crazy.  But it's quite reproducible.  I've rebooted as well...
