 I view this as a regression. I have only ever seen a touchpad jump once
 under 8.1, but 8.2 it jumps all the time. I made a bridge-building
 activity at the weekend (http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Bridge) and I am unable
 to build and bolt a bridge on the XO running 8.2 without seeing 3 or more
 jumps during the process. Feel free to come to my desk and try it...

 The recalibration stuff does seem to work (hands off for a few seconds),
 but the number of recalibrations needed seems excessive.
