 Build 8.2-757 still exhibits the bug.

 My current work-around is to maximize the backlight, then issue two
 commands in Terminal:

 $ sudo /etc/init.d/ohmd stop
 Stopping Open Hardware Manager:                            [  OK  ]
 $ sudo /etc/init.d/ohmd start
 Starting Open Hardware Manager:                            [  OK  ]
 }}}

 I constrain myself to only test the wiki-announced beta-test builds. It is
 too troublesome to switch builds too often.
