The new machines with the synaptics touchpad/keyboard controller
combination can't seem to handle fast typing. Inside of X, quickly typing
 'ps ax<ctrl>-u' in a gnome-terminal a few times results in a character
 repeating infinitely. I don't think it's a gnome-terminal or X problem,
though, as I can switch to tty1 (console), hit the 'x' and space bar
quickly, and keypresses will start getting dropped or taking 1-2s to show
up at the shell. I suspect what's happening in X is the key-up event is
 getting dropped, causing the repeats.

It happens in the console if I hit the 'x' and spacebar quickly without
having my hand anywhere near the touchpad; however, having a palm resting
on the touchpad exacerbates the problem considerably. It makes typing at
my usual rate of speed pretty much impossible; key presses are either
 lost, laggy, or repeated.

This is with OFW q2e20, and the latest testing kernel (2.6.25.15) on
debxo. I haven't tried fedora/sugar yet. I suspect either the kernel or
 EC..
