Comment:

 I just attached a new patch that will not cache empty masks and caches the
 complete image if the icon uses more than just the two colors than can be
 modified (or cannot be recolored at all).

 The test script does not work anymore because the return value changed,
 but it will still create the icon cache file correctly.
