Comment:

 The number of places where we get the color is crazy but I don't think the
 right solution would be to add an helper there. We should instead solve it
 higher level, by providing an Icon object which gets initialized
 automatically to the user colors, for example.

 So r+, I'd prolly remove the desktop_ prefix from the schemas filename but
 that's a nitpick :) Please land asap so that we don't risk bitrot.
