build 8.2-767, q2e18
I checked the box for automatic idle-suspend in the control panel. I
successfully registered this laptop with a school server; and was on
gabble working properly.
After a couple of suspends (or perhaps some amount of time in suspend);
then gabble dies and the laptop silent reverts to salut mode (as seen by
typing olpc-netstatus).
This is a high priority bug because there is nothing that helps the user
understand what happened... he just can't collaborate any more.
Furthermore, if he continues to try to use a school server AND the
automatic suspend/resume setting, then he will have the problem again
after he reboots -- it will work for a while and then it will fail.
I will add this to 8.2 release notes since we shipped with this bug, but
at least we can tell people what will happen if they try to use it.
