 this is an issue that pops up here and there, and Kim has seen it as well.
 icdl and wikibooks will not update, even after repeated attempts of
 clicking on the "install selected" button in the software updates page
 under the control panel, and even after rebooting. they keep showing up as
 updates to be installed.
