 ifconfig seems to have gone missing in olpcrd 0.41; it was present in 0.40
 and previous.  olpcrd 0.41 was released 05 Jun 2008.

 The 8.1.x series builds, from 703 to 714, all have olpcrd 0.40.  So this
 is an 8.2-specific problem.
