Comment:

 Hi,

 These events do not happen on B4 machines because they aren't safe on B4s.
 In particular, once we turn off the screen on a B4 we can not turn it back
 on again without rebooting.  Suspend/resume works occasionally but is
 unstable.  Closing this bug as wontfix; you could ask for a mass-
 production machine to replace the B4.

 > It would be very nice if I could associate the power button or the lid
 closing with that script, but it's not obvious what events they generate
 and how to hook the script into it.

 The generated events are exposed by HAL, and can be seen with "lshal
 --monitor".
