 As per http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/6532#comment:73, the "About my XO"
 dialog box does not display the firmware or serial number of the laptop
 when booting from an SD card. /ofw is not mounted in this scenario which
 is why this does not work. Unsure if this on purpose or not.
